Linda Parvin adds to the growing number of extraordinary cases of tapping for cats in her article Feline Borrowing Benefits. In volunteering to role play her cat in a recent demonstration of how to surrogate tap for animals Linda told the group that her cat Lilia would not be picked up or held by herself but would let her husband do so. As Linda role played Lilia he tapping exercise raised many aspects and she was greatly surprised by the emotion that started as a "just pretend" and became real. What we didn't know as we tapped as a group, borrowing benefits for ourselves, is that Linda has three cats not just the one and what is surprising in Linda's account of the changes after our tapping session is that the behaviour of all three cats changed markedly - not just of Lilia the cat we tapped with. Marie Holliday, Moderator on Gary Craig ’s Emofree Forums for Chronic Illness and Carer/Caregivers, writes: The forums are a safe, comfortable place to share EFT in a friendly yet professional community. I encourage anyone to look in. There is a wealth of information and advice. My EFT skills have developed through thinking carefully and writing in a clear and succinct manner for people I haven’t met. The range on the Chronic Illness Forum is vast, currently from a bunion to a kidney transplant, bipolar disorder, chronic skin conditions to cholesterol issues. It is a great way to get known as a Practitioner by answering some of the postings. Also a wonderful way to get a range of answers from a wide variety of tappers and learn from their varying suggestions.
If you know of a Carer/Caregiver needing help with EFT please ask them to join us. This Forum is underused: probably the nature of the Carer, always looking after someone else and themselves last. They are unsung heroes and deserve to receive the help and support they need. Other Forums are Women’s Issues, Animals , Abundance, General EFT and more! Big Thank you to Gary for his generosity funding the Forums to continue after their first successful year.
Here is another short lesson from one of the nine EFT Helps sessions. Penny says that money slips through her like a sieve. So I ask her to sit in the sense or echo of positive statements about money and up come the tail enders and their source: Penny's mother's beliefs about money. I ask her to focus on her mother's voice and tap "Mother said you can't have it all," "you have to work real hard" "people like us don't" I use emphasis to really get her into the sense of that to show her (and the audience) how significant a role those statements have made in Penny's (and our) life. When asked to present at EFT conferences I like to come up with something new and have over the years developed several applications and innovations in EFT. Because these conferences are one-off events many people miss out and so I have been asked to teach all of my "new stuff" together. Hence the workshop that I initially named The EFT Expert and then renamed Emotional Health Techniques because that is what it really is. The intention is that this is a workshop for those who are already experienced tappers and would like to go beyond the standard techniques.
What I teach will be flexible to the wishes of the group and is certain to include The Moodlines Technique; EFT Imagineering; Tapping, Trauma and the Brain; Protective Distancing for Personality Integration; Role Play Tapping for unsticking stuck therapists, Tapping for Animals and more.
